Comment:

The Neenah Paper Mill was the first paper mill erected on

Neenah water power site of an old sawmill. Dr. N. S. Robinson,

one of the incorporators, has been under consideration for the

title "Father of the Paper Industry in Wisconsin." This mill

successively became known as Smith and Van Ostrand, Neenah

Paper Company, and Kim.berly-Clarka.nd Company. The mill

turned out three thousa-nd pounds of rag paper a day.
