The Neenah Paper Mill was the first paper mill erected on |

Neenah water power site of an old sawmill. Dr. N. S. Robinson, |
|||||
|
one of the incorporators, has been under consideration for the |
|||||
|
title "Father of the Paper Industry in Wisconsin." This mill |
|||||
|
successively became known as Smith and Van Ostrand, Neenah |
|||||
|
Paper Company, and Kim.berly-Clarka.nd Company. The mill |
|||||
|
turned out three thousa-nd pounds of rag paper a day. |
