The Northwest Paper Company was chartered about this time,  

being the successor to the "Wright and Newcomb" paper mill. The newly

formed company was capitalized at $100,000 with one mill located at

Rockton, Illinois, and the second mill at Quincy, Illinois. Both paper-

mills produced wrapping, print, music and book papers, with a capacity

of six to eight tons a day. The president of the newly formed company

was T. L. Wright, with vice president R. F. Newcomb of Quincy and

C. Newcomb of Chicago as secretary and treasurer.
