Comments:

A change in the personnel of the Belolt Iron Works

officials took place when William H. Grinnell was made

secretary (1892-1893) and R. J. Burdge became treasurer

(1892-1903).

John Hoberg founded the John Hoberg Paper Com

pany at Kaukauna, Wisconsin.

Eau Claire managed to attract a paper and pulp

mill in order to offset the loss of its timber companies.

The Shattuok and Babcook Paper Company was

established .at WeSt DePere, Wisconsin, later becoming

a division of the American Writing Paper Company, In

1927 it formed the basis for the Nioolet Paper Company.

John Strange Paper Company installed an 82 Inch

fourdrinier for the manufacture of manila, light weight,

strong wrapping paper, and newsprint with a dally pro

duction of seven tons.
