Comments:

During December Consolidated Water Power and Paper Company

acquired the Massie process for coating papers, enabling the mill to

coat paper on two sides while in the making.

Bank Holiday, Commercial Club issued factory payroll script.

Beloit Iron Works Credit Union was established September 20.

The first officers of the newly established lending facility were Charles

Reynolds, president; W. Lathrop, secretary; David Simpson, treasurer.

By October 20 there were 112 employees participating with $124.50 left

on deposit. The first loans totaling $275.00 were made in December.

By December 31 there was $615.00 on deposit and an additional 19

members were enrolled.

An N. R. A. Compliance Board was organized with Henry Home

as chairman.

Mr. E. H. Neese, Sr. attended the Paper Making Machinery

Industrial Code hearings in Washington, D. C.

The Iron Works installed two 250 H. P. boilers in boiler room

along with a 245 and 450 K. W. turbo-generators.
