The Beloit Daily News and their very capable staff have performed a great service for the City of Beloit and Beloit employees in keeping us well informed about the happenings of Beloit Corporation.Many of us depend on the BDN for timely news and articles. Not only through all the years that Beloit Iron Works and Beloit Corporation existed but during the past year from the time Harnischfeger announced the Chapter 11 bankruptcy and the closing of Beloit Corporation.

The Beloit Corporation history isn't over now that the closing and sale of the "Corp." is past. It continues as long as people remember Beloit and "The Corp." In an effort to document the happenings after the sale, we will periodically review the BDN archive for Beloit Corporation stories and post them in chronological order on this page. The Beloit Chronicles concluded with information up to June 1, 2000. This listing takes over from that point in time.
