EXPLORING THE PAPER MACHINE VRML WORLD

This tutorial assumes your PC has been previously set up to view VRML Worlds. 

To find out if your PC is VRML ready, click the image of the paper machine in the  Paper Industry Web's VRML gallery. Click here to go to the gallery. If the VRML World does not start, click here to reset the VRML configuration requirements of your PC. Click the image below to see an enlarged image of what your screen will look like when using the Cortona VRML Client plug- in. Other plug-ins will have a different look.

Below are random views generated down the paper machine: Due to the complexity of writing VRML language manually the Paper Machine World  shows a limited amount of details. Items like bearing housings, mountings, ect are not shown.

Note:

As as a matter of information it took the equivalent of 62 - 8 hour days to manually write the VRML language for The Paper Machine in Virtual Reality VRML World. That time includes 34 scale layouts to plot the coordinates. If you are curious, click here to view the VRML code for this  VRML World.
