The "Quickie" winder study permits the user to make a winder study without having slitter, splice and winder break data available. The "Quickie" is based on empirical data of over 50 typical field installations to determine a Study Factor for various winder conditions. Testing indicates results will be in the 5 % range of more detail studies and is a good tool for close estimates until application specific data becomes available.
